Information about Passports and Visa requirements
Please check your passport expiry date carefully. Passports should be valid for at least six months from the date of intended travel.
All people wishing to travel to Papua New Guinea for work, business, study or tourism purposes must have an entry permit/visa to enter the country.

Special Exemption/Designated Events Visa
In May 2015, the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Authority (ICSA) introduced a new visa category called the Special Exemption/Designated Events Visa.
This visa class is fee free and is specifically designed for the APEC related meetings and other international events that will be held in PNG.
Participants can obtain this visa overseas at respective PNG Diplomatic Missions on application or it can be issued on arrival in Port Moresby.

APEC Business Travel Card
Persons holding a valid APEC Business Travel Card will not require a visa. Your APEC Business Travel Card should be presented along with a valid passport on arrival at Jacksons International Airport to validate your entry.
All participants without an APEC Business Travel Card will need to obtain a visa.
Customs and Quarantine
On arrival in Papua New Guinea, all goods are subject to customs and quarantine control.
Importation/exportation of any prohibited/controlled items into or out of Papua New Guinea are governed by national laws.

Arrival at Jacksons International Airport
Information Desk at the Jacksons International Airport
The TPTWG-42Information Desk will be set up outside the arrivals hall at Jacksons International Airport. Our staff will guide delegates to the free shuttle bus to the APEC hotels. Delegates are kindly reminded to fill in your arrival and departure flight information during registration.
Information Desk operating hours
APEC Papua New Guinea staff will be available at the Information Desk from the 2-4April 2016 between0430hrs-1500hrs and on 7 – 8 April 2016 between 0330hrs -1500hrs.
The dates and times can be changed depending on the delegate’s flight schedules.
Courtesy transportation will be provided for delegates between the airport and APEC hotels upon their arrival and on departure. Please approach our staff at the TPTWG-42Information Desk at Jacksons International Airport for assistance.
Daily scheduled transportation between the APEC hotels and the meeting venue(s) will be free of charge. Delegates must show their name badge to board the vehicles.
